ROOF JOBS · ABOUT THE FOUNDER

I’m Matthew Sorensen. I built Roof Jobs for people in roofing.

I’ve worked in the trades and for a roofing company. That experience taught me how much a job title leaves out: the roof systems, the crew, the weather, the travel, the schedule, and the chance to build a career. Roof Jobs is a place to look at those details before making your next move.

Why I built Roof Jobs

Roofing is a broad industry. Residential replacement, commercial installation, leak repair, service, estimating, sales, and field leadership ask different things of the people doing them. A general job board can make those paths look interchangeable.

I wanted a place where roofing professionals could find opportunities and learn what a role actually involves, and where employers could describe the work clearly enough for the right people to recognize it. The goal is a better starting point for both sides of a hiring decision.

“The best next job depends on more than the title. It depends on the work, the team, and where that role can take you.”

The founder

Meet Matthew Sorensen

I’m Matthew, the person behind Roof Jobs. I’ve spent my career around hiring and career decisions, and I’ve also worked in the trades and for a roofing company. Those experiences shape this board: practical information, respect for the people doing the work, and attention to the details that make a job a good fit.

I founded Candidate Club and have created career and interview resources for job seekers. With Roof Jobs, I’m bringing that recruiting perspective to an industry I know personally. If you spot an error or have an idea that would make the site more useful, get in touch.
